THE CRAS
Project

After Jason moved away from Hawaii, he pursued sound engineering at CRAS.

In 2006, Jason Starr was pursuing his passion in the sound engineering. So he called me one day and asked if I wanted to record some of the songs he and I were working on, in a quality studio.

“Shootz!, sounds good to me!”

So I flew there and saw the digs. Wow, beautiful place. If you ever go to Arizona, definitely check out CRAS.

We were able to capture a quality sound, but I must admit, that in some areas of these songs, my timing is horribly off. My apologies to you Jazz and Hard Rock captains!

Regardless, due to the limited time we had in the studio, we moved forward, and got these tracks recorded.

You can tell the songs feel rushed in some parts, but the ideas are there, and maybe someday I’ll get to a re-do on these with some talented musicians.

My favorite song on this track is Solitude. I wrote with my long-time friend Robert Vincent

He helped me write the first verse of the song. Vinny absolutely loved this song so much, he joined in! Good times.

Time to Let it Go is such a great song. Jason had the vision for this song, and we mapped it out together to make it what it is today.

I’m definitely going to polish these songs and have a re-do.
