Project History

11/12 2024 – This project has started!

11/26/2024 – Acoustic Tracks to 5 songs are done. I was able to get a lot of tracks laid down tonight and they sound great. 

12/03/24 – tracked acoustics to One More Time tonight after F&B. 

12/17/24 – Tracked acoustics to a couple of songs tonight. 6 hour session. 

12/17/24 – I tracked another song tonight after F&B men’s group. Up till 2. Ha!

01/14/25 – I took some time off for the Holidays to be with my family. Tracking final acoustics tonight.

02/11/25 – My family has needed much of me  Recording tracks have been paused.

03/11/25 – I’m finally tracking electric guitars. Finished Gentle Winds E. Guitars. Sweet!

 03/25/25 – Tracked Electric Guitars for Washed and I Cry tonight. 

3 songs are finished with guitar tracking. They sound amazing! 6 to go. 

04/08/25 – Tracked e guitars tonight to 3 more songs. 

April 22nd 2025 – Totally off direction of Vol 2, but I wrote a additional verse to Ku’u Hom’e O’ Kaha lu’u. 

Tonight was a night to just hang with the Fam. So that’s what I did. It was rad!

April 29th, 2025 – Feeling melancholy tonight. There’s a lot going on in the family. I’ll see what happens. 

Update, it’s midnight. I laid down the lead 1 guitars to Tried So Hard. It was a lot of work to get the vibe for this with an electric. I literally “tried so hard” to get the feel I wanted. It did add a good layer to the song, but I might need to help from Matt Ericson on this one. 

May 6th 2025 – Tonight just before family time (Cuz Micah is here )   I recorded a lead track to Internal Wars. It helps with the song foundation.  I love the hooks in it. 

May 20th 2025 – All guitar tracks have been recorded. Yes! 

May 27th 2025 – Tonight, is a night where I am going to free flow through all of the guitar tracks, and see if there’s anything else needed to layer. 

June 10th 2025, tonight I continued retracking the guitars on Internal Wars. The first version had something off to it, and I like this new version much better. I’m nearly done with the e guitars, and then I’ll hand the rest of the lead tracks over to Matt E.  I worked hard tonight. Tons of sweat just trying to track these Electric guitars.

June 17th – Tonight before F&B men’s group, I re-tracked Internal Wars to finish up those guitar tracks tonight. I had to start over on this son as the first project of this sucked really bad. Good for me in taking time to redo, becuase this is one of my favorite songs that I wrote for my bride and I want to impress her. LOL!

July 8th – finalizing some rough mixes to send to Matt and Charlie so they can lay down their parts to a few songs on this project. I’ll be tracking again in late July. Rhythm and Bass. 

July 29th – Tonight I worked on bass tracks for Creator and Will You Wait. I finished the tracks, they sound solid. 

August 22nd 2025 – Been a minute. Working on Bass tracks tonight.  I was able to finish Gentle Winds and Thing For You Bass tracks. Sweet. 

August 26th – Tracked ‘Return’ bass tracks last night. Phew. It’s challenging for me because I don’t know music theory, and so I just sit down and learn the bass lines and record them in a single sessions. 

Sept 8th 2025 – Drove down to Charlies last night so we could rock out the 3 tracks he’s helping with. It was fun, and we found a solid groove. 

Sept 18th 2025 – Found a window tonight and was able to record another round of electrics on Free. And djembe tracks for Will You Wait, and Ego.

Sept 23rd 2025 – Working on djembe tracks for a couple of songs. Elijah came down to the shop to chat with me and he said he’d wanted to lay drum tracks down to 3 songs. I’m so stoked! 

October 14th 2025 – Wow it’s been a minute. Lot’s has happened with the family that I am so grateful for. Tonight I worked on a lot of organizing and admin stuff to start building these projects into the final stages. It was a lot of grunt work that needed to be done. The album will sound amazing. It will be launched in Feb of 2026. 🙂
